Yesterday, we were invited to T2-man for a nice dinner, coffee and a whole lot of tyre-kickin'. Just what we needed when the outside temperature dropped to -21 degree C!
His Hazet-garage is a work of art and provides a perfect atmosphere for vw chat. We also looked at the current project, a 1957 cab which is in for a little bit of metal work. Both funky green metal and parts from "forest wrecks" are used to bring the car back to its former glory. Can't wait to see it finished!

The Capitan in the new garage
After driving one car into hibernation, I took the Capitan home for some drivingpleasure, and hibernation after that. Well, I have to do something during the winter. The car will be for sale in summer 2013!

Inside a Lorenz split radio

Sometimes I feel like a 5 year old. Its fun to take things apart, but not always fun putting them back together again. I've had this one checked out for over a year ago, and many of the internal parts was found to be broken. Now I am looking for a good sollution to make it work again. Retro Sound might work. Any other good ideas out there?
And of course - everything has to be hidden inside. So no new holes and weird buttons.

Barndoortime
In a barn a few miles east and a few miles north, an old car had been waiting for the fields to dry up..
Last Sunday, with very good help from Knechten and his father, we retrieved this old DoubleDoor Panelvan and took it home.
A little bit of violence to one of the drums, and the car is now rolling nicely on its own four wheels. Can't wait to get started.... =)

Rear seat for pre 55 convertible
I still can't believe it! I got a tip today that was almost too good to be true. What are the odds of finding a pre 55 convertible seat only 60 kilometeres away from home? Split convertible parts are still out there just waiting to be found!
If you got the bottom piece, please let me know :-)

Three-year-old with great taste
Knechten, my son and I met at a swapmeet for a couple of weeks ago. And off course, my oldest son had to try out the coolest BD around.

Where it all started
It all started before I was born.. My father bought a 356A eight years before he met my mom. He drove it only three months before he crashed it into pieces.. The only part he saved was a piece of paper with the sweedish registration number on. Now - after 42 years - I found some papers in a registry, confirming that it was a 1959 356A. Its in my blood:-)

Remembering Hessisch Oldendorf 09
HO 09 was by far the best VW happening I've ever attended.
Hope it will be even better next year. Looking forward to meet you all there

Searching for a needle in a haystack
This barndoor was last spotted at Vippetangen in Oslo in 1954. I wonder where it is today........
